COPD RESEARCH STUDY

COPD Inhaler.jpg

We are currently conducting a clinical trial on a medication known as Benralizumab for the treatment of COPD. Benralizumab is currently used for those with asthma and is designed to prevent their immune systems from overreacting and worsening asthmatic attacks.

This trial hopes to show that it can also be beneficial for those with moderate to severe COPD in the same way; by preventing immune system overreaction. Because this is an outcomes study, it is fairly long, estimated at about four years, depending on enrollment, but the input during that time will be fairly low, with a visit to our office about every 2 months.

Participants would be paid $100 per visit and hopefully be a part of helping a life-saving new medication get into the hands of someone who needs it.

All visits are conducted locally in Salt Lake City, Utah.
